At KUKO HOUSE, we care deeply about the health and safety of all our guests and employees. Due to the current situation with COVID-19, we've introduced new safety protocols to help navigate through this challenging time:

  • Infrared temperature checks for employees and guests

  • Reduced number of people in the salon at one time

  • Extended business hours to facilitate bookings

  • Automatic hand sanitizers and a touchless hand washing station

  • Mandatory face mask/coverings to be worn by employees and guests at all times

  • Medical-grade autoclave used to sterilize stainless steel tools

  • Single-use tools (gloves, nail files, buffers, etc.) used by technicians

  • Thorough cleaning and disinfecting of stations and tools following Toronto Public Health guidelines; each station will be cleaned and sanitized between services, and frequently touched objects will be disinfected throughout the day.

When arriving for your appointment you will be greeted by signage outlining our policies and instructions for entering KUKO HOUSE in a safe manner. The following steps will be taken to ensure the safety of everyone in the space:

  1. BOOK YOUR APPOINTMENT - An appointment must be booked in advance and clients will be asked not to bring guests (children or dogs) unless they must be accompanied by a caregiver.

  2. ARRIVE ON TIME -  Guests will be asked to kindly wait outside prior to their appointment and may only enter at the time of their scheduled service; there is no waiting area. 

  3. LIMIT PERSONAL ITEMS - Outside drinks and food will not be permitted in the space and personal items must be kept with guests at all times.

  4. REVIEW SAFETY SCREENING - Employees and guests will be required to have their temperature taken with a contactless infrared thermometer and will be asked to answer screening questions and acknowledge safety precautions.

  5. HAND WASH/SANITIZE - Before touching anything in the space, guests will be asked to thoroughly wash their hands following proper hand washing guidelines.

  6. SIGN-IN - A sign-in sheet will be provided. Appointments can be rescheduled if guests exhibit symptoms or have potentially been exposed to Covid-19.

  7. FOLLOW PROTOCOLS & PHYSICAL DISTANCE - Guests will be asked to maintain a two-metre/six-foot distance from others, when possible and follow safety protocols at all times. 

** PLEASE NOTE: At this time, due to the restriction of waiting areas, we have closed our drying space and lounge. Guests booking a standard pedicure polish will be asked to arrive with flip flops and those booking a manicure polish will be asked to anticipate at least one hour of drying time outside of the salon - please plan accordingly. 

Servicing our guests in a safe and thoughtful manner is our top priority. We know these protocols can alter your experience and we appreciate your understanding during these difficult times. We ask for your patience and welcome suggestions while we work to constantly improve.
